IRISH ENVOY TO ATTEND ANTIQUES PREVIEW

Muscat –
H E Tony Cotter, Irish Ambassador to Oman and Saudi Arabia will attend a special preview of very fine and exquisite antiques from Ireland and the U K.

Rosemary Whelan, owner of Richwood Antiques is a specialist in the sale of 19th century European antique furniture. She has more than 20 years experience in the antique trade. She is a valued member of the Irish Antique Dealers Association and served as a council member for many years. She is also an affiliated member of Cinoa (Internatioanle des Negotiants en Oeuvres d’Art), an international association for art and antique experts from around the world.

I have wonderful carved mahogany dining room pieces from Ireland, a magnificent display cabinet and drawing room suite from London and a selection of very fine gilded mirrors from Paris. All outstanding quality and stamped by the original makers.”

There is a wonderful pair of 19th century French demi-lune console tables gilded in 24 carat gold leaf with marble tops. Tables like these are not easy to find now in pairs. Over generations items pass through a family and are split between family members.

Another magnificent item is a wonderful English cutlery set housed in its original oak chest. It’s made by Crown Jewellers Mappin &Webb.
