A wonderful Victorian heavily carved oak library table. Circa 1880.
The solid oak top with molded edge and canted corners above a frieze carved with lions masks, foliated scrolls and a long frieze drawer. The elaborately carved legs are joined by a platform stretcher for strength and stability. The table is carved on all sides, making it suitable for positioning in the centre of a room.
